½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon dried oregano
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 cup vegetable oil (for frying)

12 slider buns (Hawaiian rolls work great!)
1 ½ cups marinara sauce
1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
½ cup shredded Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons butter (melted)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Fresh basil (for garnish)
Directions
- Prepare the Chicken

- Set up a dredging station:
Bowl 1: Flour
Bowl 2: Whisk together eggs and water
Bowl 3: Mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, and pepper. - Dredge each chicken piece in flour, dip in egg mixture, then coat with breadcrumb mixture. Press firmly to ensure even coating.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry chicken pieces for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through (165°F internal temperature). Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate.
- Assemble the Sliders
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

- Spread half of the marinara sauce on the bottom buns.
- Place the crispy chicken pieces on top of the sauce.
- Spoon the remaining marinara over the chicken.
- Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese evenly over the top.
- Place the top half of the slider buns over the chicken and cheese.
- Bake the Sliders
- In a small bowl, mix melted butter, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Brush over the top of the buns.
- Cover with foil and bake for 10 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for another 5–7 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the buns are golden brown.
- Serve & Enjoy!
- Garnish with fresh basil, cut into individual sliders, and serve warm!
Notes
- Make it Healthier: Use air-fried or baked chicken instead of frying.
- Crispier Chicken: Bake the fried chicken pieces in a 375°F oven for 5 minutes before assembling the sliders.
- Hawaiian Rolls for Extra Flavor: Their slight sweetness balances the tangy marinara perfectly.
- Make Ahead: Bread and fry the chicken in advance, then assemble and bake when ready to serve.
